DENTURES -

CROWNS, BRIDGES, DENTURES AND IMPLANTS

Anyone who loses one or more teeth usually wants an equivalent, visually inconspicuous replacement.

Whether a denture makes sense and which form is best for you depends on various factors, including the status of your teeth, oral hygiene, age and lifestyle, your personal preferences and last but not least the costs.

There are several types of dentures: full and partial crowns, bridges, dentures and implants, which we will briefly introduce to you below:

What are crowns?

Crowns are artificial dentures made of metal, plastic or ceramic. These are placed on the existing, previously prepared and ground remaining teeth in order to preserve them. Full crowns cover the entire tooth, partial crowns only part of it. Crowns are part of the fixed dentures.

What are dental bridges?

Dental bridges replace one or more teeth and are used for smaller gaps. However, restoration is only possible if there are sufficiently stable remaining teeth. Alternatively, implants can be placed in advance. A dental bridge is firmly glued in place.

What are dentures?

Full dentures are used when you no longer have your own teeth.  Partial dentures replace smallnere or more gaps and are attached to surrounding teeth or implants. Prostheses can be removed and reinserted independently at any time. They look like natural teeth and allow normal chewing and speaking again.

What are implants?

Implants are artificial tooth roots,  which are being anchored in the jaw - similar to a screw that grows into the jawbone.  The final denture (e.g. crown, bridge) must then be attached to the implant.

We would be happy to discuss your individual options for dental prostheses with you in detail as part of an examination. Of course, you will also receive a cost estimation from us, since depending on the type of care, the costs are not or only partially covered by statutory health insurance companies.

Quality is of great importance to us -

We therefore have your dentures made exclusively by master laboratories from the Amberg-Sulzbach region.
